Keystone Space Welcomes New Outreach Coordinator

PITTSBURGH (September 17, 2024) – The Keystone Space Collaborative (Keystone Space) is pleased to announce the hiring of its new outreach coordinator, Monica Dumitriu, effective immediately. With a deep understanding of the aerospace industry and a proven ability to foster strong community and business relations, Keystone Space believes Dumitriu, an Ohio native, is uniquely qualified to advance its mission across the tri-state.

As the outreach coordinator, Dumitriu will lead initiatives that engage the next generation of space industry businesses and talent in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, like collaborating with stakeholders to enhance awareness of Keystone Space and overseeing membership and sponsorship programs. Dumitriu is also tasked with expanding Keystone Space’s industry and academic outreach efforts as well as supporting the planning of its annual conference and other events.

“I am thrilled to join the Keystone Space Collaborative and contribute to an organization at the forefront of space innovation,” said Dumitriu. “By strengthening connections between the industry and the community, I know we can create new opportunities and drive meaningful growth within the region.”

Dumitriu holds a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to joining Keystone Space, Dumitriu worked for the Ohio Aerospace Institute, a nonprofit organization where she focused on securing funding and cultivating meaningful relationships that ensured their operations, and served as the director of a professional studies program at Case Western.

The hiring of Dumitriu marks the second full-time staff member for Keystone Space and further demonstrates its commitment to transforming the Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia region into a commercial space industry leader that is accessible to all who want to get involved.
